Both. Save to ClickUp has two surfaces. On any tab outside ClickUp, the side panel captures webpages, screenshots, and fresh tasks in two clicks. Inside ClickUp itself, it adds Boosters (focus mode, hide AI), auto time tracking on every task you open, and bulk edit with AI. Same install, same workspace, different jobs.

Yes. The extension is free for any ClickUp account. AI is optional. The Task Plan covers task and webpage AI; the Workspace plan adds AI across lists, views, spaces, docs, and mail triage.

The official extension only saves URLs and runs nowhere except its own extension surface. Save to ClickUp captures the full article body so you can read it later on your phone, takes full-page scrolling screenshots, auto-tracks time, and runs Boosters inside ClickUp itself to clean up the interface. The two extensions can live side-by-side.

ClickUp Brain is an excellent general-purpose AI for ClickUp. If you want AI for everyone in your workspace, it's a great fit. We built Neuro as an alternative for the other case: teams who only need AI for their power users. ClickUp Brain is priced per seat across your whole workspace, so every paid member needs a license. Save to ClickUp lets you subscribe only the power users on your team, so a few operators can have AI for tasks, lists, and workspace edits without rolling it out to everyone.

Boosters are toggles that run inside ClickUp itself. Task focus mode hides checklists, share buttons, and the activity sidebar inside tasks. Hide AI removes ClickUp Brain and content generation. Interface clutter strips toolbar widgets and sidebar distractions. They work on both ClickUp 3.0 and 4.0.

When enabled, the timer starts the moment you open a ClickUp task page (or open one from the ClickUp inbox) and stops when you leave it. You don't have to remember to click play. If you'd rather start the timer yourself, the side panel has a manual stopwatch with a billable toggle and a description, plus an HH:MM:SS field for typing time in directly. The running timer keeps going if you close the side panel, so nothing gets lost.

Yes. The side panel opens with a workspace picker, then a list picker scoped to that workspace's spaces and folders. Switch workspaces or lists any time. The extension caches your lists for speed, with a Reload from ClickUp button when you've created something new.

Yes. Capture either the visible area or a full-page scrolling screenshot of any webpage and attach it directly to your ClickUp task. Full-page screenshots scroll through the entire page so nothing gets cut off.

The page title, URL, and the full article body. Read the whole article later on your tablet, phone, or desktop straight from ClickUp. That's a real difference from the official extension, which doesn't capture webpage content at all.
