Getting Started

6
  • Both. Save to ClickUp has two surfaces. On any tab outside ClickUp, the popup captures webpages, screenshots, and fresh tasks in two clicks. Inside ClickUp itself, it adds Boosters (focus mode, hide AI), auto time tracking on every task you open, and bulk edit with AI. Same install, same workspace, different jobs.

  • The official extension only saves URLs and runs nowhere except its own popup. Save to ClickUp captures the full article body so you can read it later on your phone, takes full-page scrolling screenshots, auto-tracks time, and runs Boosters inside ClickUp itself to clean up the interface. The two extensions can live side-by-side.

  • Save to ClickUp is available for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge. All major Chromium-based browsers are also supported.

  • Yes. The popup opens with a workspace picker, then a list picker scoped to that workspace's spaces and folders. Switch workspaces or lists any time. The extension caches your lists for speed, with a Reload from ClickUp button when you've created something new.

  • On first launch, the popup opens a ClickUp OAuth screen. Approve access for your workspace and you're in. To switch accounts, open the popup menu and disconnect. Your next sign-in uses whichever ClickUp account is active in your browser.

Capturing the Web

4
  • The page title, URL, and the full article body. Read the whole article later on your tablet, phone, or desktop straight from ClickUp. That's a real difference from the official extension, which doesn't capture webpage content at all.

  • Yes. Capture either the visible area or a full-page scrolling screenshot of any webpage and attach it directly to your ClickUp task. Full-page screenshots scroll through the entire page so nothing gets cut off.

  • Yes. Open the popup on any tab, switch to the Create Task view, and write a name, description, comment, and optional screenshot. Pick the workspace and list, then submit. The task lands in ClickUp without you opening ClickUp.

  • Yes. The article body is captured at the moment you save, so the saved task keeps the full content even if the original page goes behind a paywall or gets deleted later.

Inside ClickUp

4
  • Boosters are toggles that run inside ClickUp itself. Task focus mode hides checklists, share buttons, and the activity sidebar inside tasks. Hide AI removes ClickUp Brain and content generation. Interface clutter strips toolbar widgets and sidebar distractions. They work on both ClickUp 3.0 and 4.0.

  • No. Boosters apply CSS rules that hide existing parts of the ClickUp UI. Nothing extra is loaded, no API calls are added, and the rules unload the moment you disable a toggle or uninstall the extension.

  • Yes. Boosters target both ClickUp 3.0 and 4.0. Toggles that depend on a specific layout will only show in the popup when they apply to the version of ClickUp you're on.

  • Booster toggles are global to your ClickUp browser session. If you want different behavior across workspaces, use different browser profiles.

Time Tracking

4
  • When enabled, the timer starts the moment you open a ClickUp task page (or open one from the ClickUp inbox) and stops when you leave it. You don't have to remember to click play. If you'd rather start the timer yourself, the popup has a manual stopwatch with a billable toggle and a description, plus an HH:MM:SS field for typing time in directly. The running timer keeps going if you close the popup, so nothing gets lost.

  • It keeps running. The timer lives in the background service worker, so closing the popup, switching tabs, or restarting the browser won't drop the entry. The next time you open the popup, the timer shows the running state and the elapsed time.

  • Yes. The manual stopwatch has a billable toggle and a description field, both of which ClickUp stores on the time entry. Auto-tracked entries inherit your default billable setting.

  • Yes. The popup has an HH:MM:SS input that creates a time entry on the current task without you having to start and stop a timer.

AI Assistant

6
  • Neuro is the AI assistant built into Save to ClickUp. It reads the task, list, or doc you're already on and proposes the action you describe. You approve or reject every change before it lands in ClickUp.

  • Type or speak a prompt. Neuro reads your current page, drafts the change as a proposal (status update, new subtask, comment reply, bulk write across rows), and shows it to you. One Accept applies it. Reject and nothing changes.

  • Yes. Tap the mic in the AI assistant and talk in plain English. The Task plan includes 60 voice minutes per month. The Workspace plan includes 180 voice minutes per month.

  • Open any ClickUp list, filter and multi-select rows, then describe the change. Brain proposes the exact field updates across every selected row (status, assignee, due date, custom fields). One Accept applies to all of them.

  • Yes. Every account gets 50 lifetime AI messages on the free plan. Beyond that, the Task and Workspace plans provide paid AI usage.

  • Only the page content you're on at the moment you send the prompt: the task fields, comments, or list rows visible to you. Nothing is stored for training. Prompts and responses route through our backend so your ClickUp API token is never exposed to the model.

Account & Billing

6
  • Yes. The extension is free for any ClickUp account. AI has a free lifetime allowance, then optional Task and Workspace plans if you want paid AI usage.

  • The Task plan is for single-task edits with voice and text. The Workspace plan adds bulk actions across lists, folders, and spaces, plus doc creation and editing. Both are per-seat and cancel any time.

  • A discounted rate on the Task and Workspace plans, locked for the life of your subscription. The discount is available to a limited number of accounts during the 3.0 launch.

  • Open the Dashboard from the popup menu or the website footer. From there you reach the Stripe customer portal to update payment methods, change seats, download invoices, or cancel.
